Getting to and from the airport
The airport is easily accessible by car from all parts of the UK. From Birmingham, take the M42 northwards until it changes to the A42. From Nottingham follow the A52 westwards, then join the M1 J25 southbound until reaching the J24 exit. From Leicester, take the A50 north and join the M1 northwards, then exit at J23A.
National Express Airport service offers direct bus connections to all surrounding cities. Several railway stations are also located a short taxi ride from the airport, and taxi service is available outside the Arrivals area 24 hours a day.
The airport offers several choices for parking your car. The short-stay car park in front of the terminal allows parking for up to 12 hours with the first 30 minutes free. The medium-stay car parks are ideal for parking up to 4 days. They are within walking distance of the terminal and there is also a free shuttle bus service. Passengers who need parking for more than 5 days should use the long-stay car park, which is serviced by a free shuttle bus. Disabled drivers will find 51 convenient parking spaces in the short-stay car park designated for blue badge holders. |
