Orlando International Airport (MCO)

Orlando International Airport is the busiest in Florida. It serves more than 30 million domestic passengers annually. Located only 9 miles southeast of downtown Orlando, it is a very quick trip to get into the city or to your hotel. The airport is large and modern, with an above-ground train (AGT) linking the terminals for convenience.

Orlando International Airport is composed of five terminals, all of which are linked by the AGT. Terminals 2 and 3 are only for domestic destinations.

There are a multitude of facilities available for travellers, including more than two dozen restaurants, several bars, a micro-brewery, numerous shops, banking services, ATMs, currency exchange bureaux and a hotel. The shopping on offer in the airport is very diverse, ranging from duty-free stores and sweet shops, to Walt Disney gift shops and clothing stores.

Internet kiosks, postal services, telephones with data ports, fax machines and photocopying facilities are all provided at the airport. For the disabled, the airport offers wheelchair accessibility, shuttle buses providing transport from satellite car parks and TDD telephones.

If you are driving from downtown Orlando, t ake State road 408 east . After several kilometres , turn onto State road 436 (Semoran boulevard) and travel south to the Orlando International Airport.

Hire cars are undoubtedly the most popular mode of transport for travelling around Orlando, but taxis and shuttle vans are also available at the airport. They are located on Level 1 on both the A and B sides of the terminal. Buses can also be taken into the city and can be found on Level 1 on the A side of the terminal.

Short-term parking at the airport or ‘ terminal parking’, is a short walk away from the main terminal. Long-term, ‘satellite parking’, is located about half a mile from the airport and connected to all terminals by a free shuttle bus.
